Dearest Hal,
Yesterday I
went to Blue Ridge to see “Nana.” When I wrote
you last night I was so full of talk about the rug I couldn’t write about anything
else. I could hardly leave it long enough to go to see “Nana” but of course I
did go any way. She seemed very glad to see me and I was delighted to see how
well she was looking. She said she was feeling better that she had since Nov.
Nana had two
letters from Billy from North Africa he seems
to be enjoying his new experiences. He has a new address; this one is A.P.O
#776 2nd Replacement Depot C/O PM New York City. Billy says he
has very little luck in tracking the natives to play football. They loose the
ball in their clothes and when they try to kick it they fall flat.
I told you
sometime ago to send me a permit to send you two pictures. I took “Nana” one of
Sam and she was so tickled to get it. She thinks it is a grand picture of him.
I was so anxious to send them cause packages take a
long time. Honey, I am so crazy about my rug, do hurry and send the other one.
Why not write sometime?
All my love,
