My dearest Hal,
I want to thank you very much for something you recently gave me. Maybe you haven’t heard but you gave me a vacuum cleaner and you will never know just how much that is going to mean to us. Honey, just think I can sweep and dust and clean and not even be bothered by the dust at all. Isn’t that wonderful? I wish you could just be here to see what a grand time I’m having. Dr. Blanton told me that I would not be much improved until I did get a cleaner. I put it off quite awhile but finally decided that you would rather have me well than “rich” so I went ahead and bought a “Universal Cleaner.” I do hope you approve. I paid $45.00 for it but it is more than worth it in the service I’m getting.
We are all

I miss you so much. If only we could be together to see the earth come alive again. Spring is such a lovely time. Of course I was always a little jealous of the golf course but I would mind if only I could see you.
All my love,
