Dearest Hal,
One
of the rugs you sent has already came as I wrote you Saturday, also the brass
plates. I had to pay $11.25 duty on the
rug but it was worth it many times. I
think it is lovely and of course I’m terribly anxious for the others to
come. Were all the rugs sent at the same
time? I thought from one of your recent
letters that perhaps they were.
I finally
got around to fixing up the opals to mail so I hope you’ll get them real soon
and can have them set for me. I would
love to have the ring set with zircons all around it. I believe that would be possible but anything
you select will be fine as far as I am concerned.
I miss you
so dreadfully. I kept hoping that maybe
you could come home but your last letter sorta’ made
that plan fold up. The only thing for you to do is hurry up and win the war so we can be
together again.
All
my love,
Page.
