9:00 Pm E.W.T
Hello Pheety,
I just finished taking a shower and a shave. –Used my kit that the army gave me and I think it’s rather nice.
I have been thinking of you darling ever since I left. I made the draft board in time and we left there by train NYC #421, the one I used to break. We left at 1 PM. They gave us our shot for Typhoid and issued out bed clothes and helmet. -Tomorrow they issue us our uniform and other clothes. I had nice food for supper at 4:30 PM today and have been cleaning up and writing you ever since.
I did go over to the Post Canteen for a beer. I don’t have much money so I’ll have to forget the beers for awhile.
Before we
left
I miss you already Pheety and how I hate to crawl in that bed without you there. There’s a full moon tonight and when I look at it I wish I were with you to tell you how much I really do love you. And that’s not the half of it.
Please
don’t send anything to me or write to me while I’m here at
I will keep writing you though Pheety and when I get to my destination I’ll let you know right away so you can write me.
Until you hear from me again I want to tell you you’re the only one that matters to me in this world Darling.
I love you so much and do wish you were here.
Will write you tomorrow Honey and please don’t work very much and do take care of yourself. I worry about you all the time. Tell your folks I said Hello. Also tell that Carol Cluater sister of yours I said she might leave to play cards eventually.
I will write you soon.
Yours faithful Husband,
Vincent
