Bellefontaine, Ohio
Dearest Pheety,
Well honey
yesterday I was 21. I certainly had a good time. Mom and I went to the lake and
we ran into Peg and Wally. We started drinking and all of us came back to
Bellefontaine about 8:00 o’clock. I was in bed by 8:30. I’m pretty shaky today
as you can see by my writing. You’ll have to forgive me darling for getting
intoxicated cause I really had a grand time.
Pheety, I haven’t heard from you since I got your telegram
Sunday. What’s the matter is Switzerland
getting you down? I wish you would write me a few lines every day. Honey it
just seems like I’ve fallen in love all over again. I’ve been so excited about
you coming home. Planning things and just dreaming all day long. Are we still
going to take our honey moon in that little cottage by the lake in Cleveland? It’s all up to
you as to what you want to do when you get here. I’ll go any place you want to
Darling. Just to be with you is all I ask. I love you very much Vincent and as
long as I live my love for you will never die. Believe me darling I need you so
much and when that train pulls in and I’m in your arms again I’ll feel safe and
protected again. I guess I’m just a big baby Pheety
and I always will be. So love me darling and please write to me more often. I’m
waiting for you.
All my love, Your Wife
Margaret.
