My Dearest Pheety,
Nothing new today about coming home except that we’re leaving Wednesday. I’m taking my things out of my locker and packing them in my bag. So it won’t be long darling. I do know I’ll be with you this month for sure. I hope honey that you’re getting along O.K. with your teeth. Wish I could have been home to humor you while you were in misery. You always said you felt better when I was with you. I hope you really meant it?
I’m glad you like the song
“Symphony” as I like it too. But my
favorite song is “I love you”, Very appropriate isn’t it honey. There are so many beautiful songs out now and
when I hear them I long for you that much more.
I hope you feel the same way about me. Do you Pheety?
I was reading over an old letter of
yours today and I noticed something I never noticed before. You said you saw my old flame Violet
C. the other day. That hurt me Margaret
because I only knew her well enough to say hello. I wouldn’t ever think of going with a woman
who has the reputation that she does.
Anyway Pheety I want you to know that you’re
the only girl I knew very well in Bellefontaine. Even if many girls did know me,
[it was] better than I knew them. I made
enough noise in the Hofbraw. Well tomorrow is your birthday darling and to
think you will be 21. You’re growing up
honey but to me you’ll always be my baby. I didn’t think I’d get back from
Will close now and write you a nice
letter for your birthday tomorrow.
I love you
honey more than you can realize and that is with all my heart too. I mean it!
All
my love & kisses
Your Pheety
