My Dearest Wife,
Didn’t get a letter from you today & tonite it’s raining and I’ve got the blues. not so much because no letter from you but just one of those off nites I guess. But darling I’m happy just the same because I know you love me & are thinking of me everyday. I guess I’m just a little over anxious to come home, so I just get tired of waiting I guess. We’re all waiting to get word anytime now. We are supposed to be on orders tomorrow but there’s not a sign of a word yet. I’m so fed up with this army, They’ve been working us so hard driving these jeeps on patrol that all I get done is sleep anymore. I’m so tired tonite that I’m not in the mood for anything except to tell you I think you’re the sweetest little darling in the world. I’ll be so happy to have you around me again & begging me for kisses. I need to be loved darling & you’re the only one who can do it. So you see just how much I need you my darling. - I hope your’e getting my letters everyday & I’m sure they will make you happy. I pray that you are O.K. & that everything is going alright around home. Just be patient honey cause you know that it can’t be long now. My time has come & they can’t keep me here any longer. - Be good my love & I’ll write you a nice letter tomorrow, I’m so tired.
All my love & kisses
