Dear Paul,
Or may I start in a little before time and call you “brother” Paul? That sounds awfully good to me, but then I think you’ve always known I’ve been an advocate of that. I am happy not only for you and Lucille, but for myself, in that it’s you who is soon to be one of us. I can’t begin to tell you how thrilled I am over it all; the wedding plans are sounding grand, and I am looking forward to the 27th with no little anticipation.
I have had to put out a little work at school of late. In fact, I’m sure my life has hindered on that of a tough marine’s, in that I’ve been up at the crack of dawn; off to work and finishing up with the sun sinking with my feelings sharing its course. Pay Day rolls around tomorrow, so my work practically hasn’t been too much in vain. Come the 15th I’ll start vacationing and then my able services can be devoted in full time to help get my “little” sister ready for the wedding date.
Truly Paul, I’m elated over the fact that you and Lucille are to be married. I wish you all the happiness possible, but then I’ve no doubt but that you will always be supremely happy!
The Welcome mat is all out for you, Paul, here at 848 Roslyn, and each of us is looking forward not only to seeing you soon, but to welcoming you into the family.
With love,
Mary Ann
