Dearest Mom & all –
A few lines to let you all know I am well and ok, and hope all are the same. Sure be glad when we move from this place, don’t have any idea when or where but the sooner the better suits me.
I wouldn’t take anything for my
trip to
We have visited some of the larger
cities.
Am sending a $50 money order if you all need any of it. Use all you want and if you don’t, take what I am sending and what I have there and buy Bonds. Buy them in your name, either yours or Pops. That is for a reason of my own, will explain why when I get home.
I got a letter from Pillie the other day – he thought I was still in the States. Have written him two letters, also got one from Buck Ashbrook. I believe I wrote about that.
Sure hope it has rained there by now and the crops are doing better. Is Pop still working on the Market? I hope you are feeling better, Pop. I went to the Dentist this morning and they won’t pull any teeth here unless it is very necessary. So they are going to just treat my gums and when we get back to the states, I will have them pulled.
Well as this is about all from here at the present, will close hoping to hear from all soon.
Love to all
Marlin
Tell Aunt Dove and Hunkey I said hello and hope that they are both well and ok.
Yes, I also got a letter from Mose Station – he is just as crazy as ever. Letters like that really peps any one up, just a lot of Bull, and lots of news too.
Answer this as soon as possible and let me know if yall get the money order ok.. I sent Earnest Ashbrook a $20 order in June, I haven’t heard whether he got it or not. I sent Allie Mae $30 if she ever said she got it, I have forgot. Am going to try and get me a three day pass next week and really visit, try and see all there is to see.
If I don’t mail this now, I will keep thinking of something else and pretty soon will have to add another stamp, so will mail it now.
With lots of Love
Marlin
