Dearest mom & all-

Just a few lines to let you all know I am well and okay. The weather has made quite a change since I wrote the other day. It has rained every day, not so much but enough to make it very uncomfortable and you may think the black dirt around the home place is slick and sticky. You just haven’t seen any of this over here, just hope we are not here much longer. I told you the other day in my last letter why I hadn’t wrote, because we had been pretty busy. I had rather been busy than sit around, for the time passes faster when we are busy. The faster time passes, the better it is. I hadn’t got any mail the last few days, but that is because the mail is all going to Service Co. [blacked out]. It will get straightened out in a short time. I have asked for cigarettes in the last two or three letters, and I am asking for more Camels and razor blades, for that is two things that is hard to get over here. I am hoping to here from you all soon.

                        With Love to all Marlin
