Dearest Mom & all-
As the letter didn’t get off had to put it in another envelope, thought I would add a little more to it.
It sure has been pretty weather here the last few days but it was about time has been bad almost all the time we have been here just hope it stays like this.
Got a letter from Lucy and Bert today, she sent a paper clipping and picture of Lt. Buck Ashbrook. Sure would like to see that old gang that I use to run around with. Here’s hoping it won’t belong before we are all back together again.
Mom I told you in one of my letters that I wouldn’t write for any more money but we are getting a 5 day furlough and if I pay the boys what I owe them out of this then I wouldn’t have any left so if you can without to much trouble. Send the same amount this last time and I do mean it will be the last time to write for money regardless of what happens. If it wasn’t for the allotment I wouldn’t be writing for money, I know it could be used after I get out but why not have a little pleasure and fun when you can, for you can never tell what will happen next.
Hope Allie Mae gets my letter before she starts off on her wild goose chase. You can tell her again if she wants me to really love her as a sister and think as much of her as I always have that she will stay home.
As I have run out of any thing to say will have to close for this time hoping to hear again soon
Love to all
Marlin
