Dearest Mom & al,
Received your letter of Aug 20 today, and glad to hear everyone is ok. I am feeling very well. I went to the dentist the other day. They wouldn’t pull my teeth just gave me some powder to treat my gums with, but it isn’t doing any good, [I] am going to try again before long to get them pulled for they hurt me all the time.
I guess I did wrong by writing Bertice, for I sure told him just what I thought about him and if he couldn’t do any better than he has been doing to get out and let Lucy alone and I used some pretty rough English along with it; may cause more trouble and again it might do him some good. Either way, I got a load off my chest.
Just got a letter from Allie Mae. I don’t think she is so
much in love with
I can’t imagine what has happened to those pictures, they should have been there long before now, if they aren’t there by the time you get this, let me know and I will try to find out what is wrong.
Well Mom, as there isn’t any thing to write about will close for this time hoping to hear soon.
Love to all,
Marlin
