Dearest Mom and all,

Received your letters of October 9th today, glad to hear from home and that everyone is well, guess the girls and Bert think I have forgotten them, but all I can say I just haven’t written, will write them tonight.

I haven’t heard from Wesley in a long time, forgot his address so that’s just another letter to write. It is a job to write letters for about all there is to say is the same old thing.

Hope you have got my last letter for there was a money order for $100 that was for the back pay on the Glider rides. We just have to make one rider every three months so that is pretty easy money, as long as we ride out side Combat Zones C.

You said you were sending more money- there is no use to send it for I will be drawing about 15 lbs., or a little over $61, so that is more than I should spend. Anyways, don’t send any more money. The cigarettes and home-made candy will be ok if you can get some Listerine. Could use a few bottles of that, say two or three.

If you do get a job in Fort Worth, you had better take it easy, for working for the public isn’t like working at home, but guess you know that better than I do. If you think Allie Mae’s girlfriend isn’t the kind. She should have hope you can get them separated.

Well Mom, as this [is] about all for this time and I want to write one or two more, will close for now.

                                                            Love to all,

                                                                        Marlin
