Dear Dot
Will [answer] your letter I just received, was glad to hear from you and your pictures you sent me [are] even better than the one you sent Cooper. I now have both of your pictures and will keep them.
So you like to dance well I can’t dance myself but I would like to learn.
I guess there are other things we can do together and get more fun out of then dancing don’t you think so.
I am glad you liked the letter that I wrote and I liked the one that you wrote me and so from the way every thing looks it seems that you and me could get along fine together, but I would have to be the boss (HA). Darling, I would like to drop around and see you but I don’t know how to go about it. I can’t get a 3-day pass for a while yet. Just tell me this: what would we do if I came up there? I will guess; see how close I get. Well honey first I would take you in my arms and kiss you and then we would take in a movie and then look the town over and then [Edited for content.]
Darling, how old did you tell Cooper you are.
Dot, I am sorry that I haven’t gotten a picture of myself to send you I did have one and sent it to another girl and then I quit writing to her and I am going to try and get it back. If I do, I will send it to you. If not, I will have some made. Don’t get the idea that I’m broke because yesterday was payday and I have a hundred dollars on me right now, but I would like to send you the picture that I sent the other girl because it is a good one.
Darling, why don’t you write me a letter every other day and I will answer every one that you write me and tell me something about yourself and do you think that you would like to do the things that I mentioned in the letter. If so, be sure to tell me if not likewise.
These are the kind of letters that I like to write and receive.
Well darling, I will close for now hoping to hear from you soon and more often.
Goodbye.
P.S. Written with a pencil sealed with a kiss god bless the one who first reached this.
I am yours to love,
Ray
