Frank Chupashka was born 20 April 1908 in Pennsylvania. During the 1930s he worked as part of the crew on different ships as they crossed the Atlantic. Later, he served in the Tenth Armored Division, also known as the Tiger Division, under General Patton during the Second World War. He enlisted on January 8, 1942 at Fort George Meade, Maryland, exactly one month after President Roosevelt gave his speech on Pearl Harbor and asked Congress for a declaration of war. The Tenth Armored served in the Battle of the Bulge. Frank was released from the military on September 22, 1945 at Fort McPherson, Georgia. His wife was named was Cynthia. He died at the age of 69 on 20 September 1977.
